Description / Scope / Mission
Operate various material handling equipment in the movement of raw materials, finished goods, and miscellaneous items.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Exercise good safety practices to prevent accidents to self, others, and facilities, and report unsafe conditions to the Production Coordinator.
- Receive, transport, and store materials following established methods and procedures for stock location, rotation, and identification. This task will involve unloading trailers and using the computer system.
- Stock production with components following established methods and procedures.
- Check for correct identity, quantity, and appearance of materials, components, supplies, and products.
- Prepare complete and accurate records as required.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.

- Stand; reach above shoulders; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up to 1/3 of the time.
- Walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or touch; and talk or hear 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
- Use foot/feet to operate machine 2/3 or more of the time.
- Lift up to 10 pounds or exert force up to 1/3 of the time.
- Lift approximately 25 pounds and carry up to 10 feet up to 1/3 of the time.
- Lift up to 50 pounds or exert force up to 1/3 of the time.
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus are required.
Education / Certification / Qualifications / Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Some warehouse/PIT experience is a plus.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Read, write, and speak basic English.
License or Certification Required
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
Specific Knowledge
- Ability to sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, smell, and operate foot pedals up to 1/3 of the time.
- Stand, walk, talk, or hear 2/3 or more of the time.
- Lift up to 25 pounds up to 1/3 of the time; up to 50 pounds or exert force 1/3 or less of the time, including push/pull motions.
- Lift 50 pounds for up to 15 feet.
- Visual abilities as described above.
Tools/Equipment Used
- Forklift (2/3 or more of the time).
- Computer, scale, and drum handlers (up to 1/3 of the time).
Work Environment/PPE Required
- Exposure to chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise.
- Safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and respiratory protection as required.
