Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking a Material Handler to load, unload, and move materials within the plant and yard, following work orders and instructions. You will operate industrial trucks or hoists, secure loads, verify counts, and transport items to designated areas while maintaining accuracy and safety.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment. A high school diploma or GED with 1–3 months of related experience is expected; AS9100/ISO

Responsibilities

• Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Opens containers and loads/unloads materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Loads materials into vehicles and secures with straps or padding to prevent shifting during transit.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units moved on daily production sheet.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on containers.
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
• Removes samples of materials and takes samples to laboratory for analysis.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist and cleans work area and equipment.
