Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking Material Handlers/Powered Equipment Operators at our Tar Heel, NC facility. You will operate forklifts and related equipment to move product, support a safe and efficient production line, and help ensure our products reach families across America.

The role is physically demanding and may require overtime based on production needs. Candidates must meet certification requirements during the qualification period and be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate forklifts and other powered equipment during qualification period.
• Position is physically demanding and requires good hand-eye coordination.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work overtime as production demands.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, jack lifts, high lifts and other powered industrial trucks to move product.
• Support production line and maintain safe, efficient operations.
• Follow safety rules and complete certifications during the qualification period.
