Job summary

Smithfield Foods is hiring for Material Handlers/Powered Equipment Operators to support production lines and move product with forklifts and related equipment. You will operate forklifts and other powered tools to maintain a safe, efficient workflow in a demanding environment and support your team.

Qualified candidates should be able to obtain required certifications, stand for long shifts, and work overtime as production demands.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate forklifts and powered equipment.
• Physically demanding work with attention to safety protocols.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Able to stand for long shifts and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, jack lifts, high lifts, and other powered industrial trucks to move product.
• Meet required certifications during qualification period.
• Maintain safe and efficient production flow and assist teammates.
• Complete tasks and duties as assigned, with willingness to work overtime when required.
