Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in Portland, ME seeks a warehouse associate to safely and efficiently operate equipment for moving packages and heavyweight freight, including dangerous goods and ULDs. You will assist in pallet buildup and breakdown, liaise with the ULD repair vendor as needed, and perform other duties as assigned; candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in varied shifts.

This full-time role offers shifts such as early morning or evening, with pay ranging from 18.41 to 24.73

Qualifications

Able to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level and maneuver packages above 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
Able to walk and stand for designated work hours, bend and squat as needed.
Able to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack above head if required.
Able to work in all weather conditions and climb stairs/ladders when required.
Must successfully complete basic and recurring training; communicate effectively in a noisy environment.

Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Able to walk and stand for designated work hours. Able to bend and squat for designated work hours. Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level. Ability to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack packages above one’s head if required at location. Able to work in all weather conditions if required at work location. Able to climb stairs and ladders if required at work location. Able to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training. The ability to communicate both timely and effectively, in a noisy operations environment, is required.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety sensitive position, a drug screen is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Since operating motorized conveyances is required in this job, employee must possess a valid driver's license.

Pay Range: $18.41/hr-$24.73/hr + $1.50 pay premium

Full-time employees are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage and participate in Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) on their date of hire. Part-time employees who have completed 91 days of employment and worked an average of at least 17 hours per week are also eligible for these benefits. Employees may receive up to $5,250 per calendar year in educational assistance for tuition and other approved education expenses after completing 90 continuous days of employment.
