Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a warehouse associate to operate equipment safely for moving packages, documents, heavyweight freight, and dangerous goods, and to assist in pallet buildup and breakdown.

Qualifications include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and walking for long shifts, bending and squatting, climbing stairs, and working in all weather. Training is provided; evening shift may apply; benefits and EEO rights apply.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level and use equipment to move heavier packages.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend and squat for designated work hours.
• Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level and in enclosed spaces.

• Able to work in all weather conditions at the work location.
• Must complete basic and recurring training.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Able to walk and stand for designated work hours. Able to bend and squat for designated work hours. Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level. Ability to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack packages above one's head if required at location. Able to work in all weather conditions if required at work location. Able to climb stairs and ladders if required at work location. Able to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training. The ability to communicate both timely and effectively, in a noisy operations environment, is required.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety sensitive position, a drug screen is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Since operating motorized conveyances is required in this job, employee must possess a valid driver's license.

Pay Range

$20.58/hr

Full-time employees are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage and participate in Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) on their date of hire. Part-time employees who have completed 91 days of employment and worked an average of at least 17 hours per week are also eligible for these benefits. Employees may receive up to $5,250 per calendar year in educational assistance for tuition and other approved education expenses after completing 90 continuous days of employment.

Additional Posting Information

Evening Shift: Sunday-Thursday - 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Base Pay: $20.58/hour. Requirements: Valid driver's license and successful drug test clearance.
