Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a Material Handler to support daily waste processing operations. You will safely move materials, maintain a clean work environment, and assist with core plant functions. The role includes paid training, uniforms, health benefits, and tuition reimbursement.

Additional responsibilities include transporting waste carts, weighing materials, and helping with process improvements. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and work flexible schedules as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload autoclave carts and box waste safely and efficiently.
• Move carts through tipping and cart washing equipment.
• Clean containers and equipment using pressure washing tools.
• Inspect carts and containers for cleanliness and damage.
• Weigh box waste and accurately record processing information.
• Bale cardboard and assist with loading trailers for shipment.
• Keep work areas, unloading zones, and equipment clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
