Job summary

Builders FirstSource, a leading supplier of building materials in the United States, seeks a material handler to support our busy distribution center. This entry-level position emphasizes safe, efficient movement of materials and on-the-job learning under supervision.

You will operate motorized and non-motorized equipment, lift up to 80 pounds, and contribute to timely deliveries while adhering to safety procedures. On-site training and incentive-based pay are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; entry-level with on-the-job training.
• Ability to use motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment safely.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to safety procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Handle materials used to construct components and finished products and ensure smooth movement.
• Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Learn and follow instructions from foreman or senior handlers.
• Observe safety procedures to prevent injuries and participate in safety meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
