Job summary

Binford Supply is seeking a Material Handler to join our warehouse team in South Houston, TX. The role includes pulling and preparing orders, loading/unloading with a forklift, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with pay ranging from $18 to $21 per hour.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of warehouse/yard experience, is comfortable working outdoors, and can read, write, and perform basic math. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of warehouse/yard experience.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions.
• Experience with building materials a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work inside the warehouse and outside in the yard as needed.
• Loads trucks for outgoing shipments.
• Unloads inbound product and prepares orders for shipment.
• Rotates and moves product safely using a forklift when required.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborates with the team to support branch success and customer service.

Description

The primary responsibility of a Material Handler is to perform an array of functions, including but not limited to pulling and preparing customer orders, using a forklift to load and unload trucks, and ensuring the product is kept in clean and organized manner.

Pay: $18-$21

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30 AM-4:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Work inside the warehouse and outside in the yard depending on the need
• Loads trucks for outgoing shipments
• Unloads the receiving of inbound product
• Pulls and prepares orders, packaging for shipment
• Complete all work orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Rotates product and safely moves product using a forklift (when needed)
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Work with the team to ensure branch success and provide excellent customer service.
• Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• Education - High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions.
• 1+ year experience in a warehouse/yard position Forklift experience is a plus
• Experience with building materials a plus
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
• Ability to read and write and perform essential math functions
