Job summary

Pregis Corporation in North Carolina is seeking a dependable forklift operator to support daily warehouse operations on a 2-2-3 schedule. You will safely drive a sit-down forklift, stage materials, load/unload trucks and help maintain accurate inventory under FIFO practices.

The role requires at least 1 year of forklift and inventory control experience, and knowledge of SAP or similar warehouse software is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Classification: Full-Time-Hourly

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Shifts: 6PM-6AM based on a 2-2-3 schedule (overtime as needed based on business needs).

Compensation & Growth

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely drive a forklift to stage material, load trucks, unload trucks and transfer material within the plant and within departments as needed.
• Keep safety at the forefront of team’s thinking and approach to work.
• Communicate and ensure all safety procedures are strictly adhered to.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Organization, dealing with complexity, time management, process improvement, safety management, forklift operation, inventory control, lifting.
• Assist to maintain a safe, well organized, FIFO (first in, first out) controlled warehouse per Pregis Best Practice.
• Maintain inventory by identifying and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
• Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling and securing product in correct location.
• Be a reliable member of the team, always identifying and professionally communicating ways to improve the work environment.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Other responsibilities as directed or required.

Environment

• Exposure to moving equipment.
• Inside work.
• Heat may exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Humidity may exceed 80%.
• Noise may exceed 85dB+.
• Personal Protective Equipment required.

• Frequent standing, stooping, sitting.
