Job summary

Cleveland Steel Container, an Employee Owned and World Class Steel Pail Manufacturing company, seeks a Material Handler for loading/unloading trucks at our Streetsboro facility. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficient material handling in a manufacturing setting.

Starting shift is Monday–Friday, 6:00am–4:30pm with a starting rate of $17.00–$18.00 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, ESOP, and 15 paid vacation days plus 11 holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years forklift truck loading experience.
• OSHA forklift certification is a plus.
• DOT truck weight balancing and safe loading with various heights/weights.
• Basic math skills.
• Able to work on a team.
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks for daily shipment.
• Secure loaded trailers.
• Complete Bills of Lading.
• Daily inspection of forklift and semis.
• Outdoor procedures in all seasons (lock/chock).
• Copying documents.
• Use of glad hand locks.
• Time sensitive daily activities.
• Unload inbound deliveries.
• Move stock throughout the plant as needed to maintain production.
• Load and unload trucks as necessary via forklift or hand jack.
• Set up the pail line as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance daily/weekly/monthly for all equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping in the shipping area.
• Ensure safety requirements are met around equipment.
• Maintain all required tools for job duties.
• Understand and complete quality procedures and verifications.
• Labeling and counting of material accurately.

Shift Hours:

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Load trucks for daily shipment

• Responsible for correct labeling and accurate counts of material.
