Job Purpose: To operate forklifts safely and efficiently; handle all freight inbound or outbound properly and orderly; maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; load/unload RJW trucks/trailers and outside carriers safely using proper procedures; ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; store stock properly in the warehouse; perform duties related to material handling for shipping and receiving activities. Work from warehouse operation sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers. Maintain forklift safety at all times following all safety policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient warehouse operation.
• Operate sit-down forklifts and/or EPJs.
• Understand computers and handheld RF equipment.
• Load and unload RJW trucks/trailers safely and efficiently, including outside carriers' equipment.
• Work flexible hours, including 10 to 12-hour shifts when necessary; comfortable working at heights.
• Pick and move stock weighing from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times.
• Ensure shipments are staged and loaded correctly.
• Maintain an orderly warehouse area with proper stacking and housekeeping.
• Process outbound cross-dock freight as needed.
• Store stock properly and move products into storage racks.
• Use warehouse sheets to pick customer orders and load trailers.
• Verify shipment accuracy against paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments/deliveries.
• Complete all documentation accurately.
• Operate forklifts safely, following OSHA regulations and company policies, including wearing seatbelts at all times.
• Perform daily forklift maintenance inspections.
• Handle customer products properly and orderly.
• Check deliveries for damage or poor packing; report issues to Supervisor, taking pictures if necessary.
• Report accidents, damages, or incidents immediately.
• Spot trailers to maintain yard organization and equipment flow.
• Keep dock doors accessible and free of debris or snow.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Additional Responsibilities

• Work with urgency, accountability, and limited supervision.
• Possess basic computer and RF equipment knowledge.
• Read, write, and understand English.
• Pay attention to detail and quality.
• Maintain good communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Work overtime and cover shifts as needed.
• Experience with sit-down forklifts/EPJs, pallet building, and cross-docking freight is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications
