Job summary

Metals USA is seeking a Material Handler/Truck Loader for the 1st shift in Fairless Hills, PA. The role involves receiving, stocking, and loading materials, operating a yard truck, cranes, and forklifts, and ensuring accurate documentation and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include pulling orders, inspecting material quality, and restocking while maintaining a clean, safe work area and adhering to company policies and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic arithmetic skills for decimals and fractions.
• Ability to understand oral and written communication.
• Read and write in English to read instructions and policies.
• Able to read measuring tapes, micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Receive and stock items; place/return to inventory locations.
• Tag materials for identification.
• Pull and assemble customer orders for delivery.
• Operate yard truck to load/unload trailers.
• Operate cranes to load/unload trailers.
• Operate forklift (5k or 10k) for loading/unloading.
• Secure materials in trucks and confirm correct quantities.
• Complete and document production and quality paperwork.
• Perform grinding and oxy-fuel torch tasks.
• Keep work areas clean, safe and organized.
• Ensure production centers are loaded with material.
• Notify management of discrepancies or injuries.
• Follow safety policies and conduct codes of conduct.
• Restock material.
