Job summary

Metals USA is seeking a Material Handler/Truck Loader for the 2nd shift in Ambridge, PA. The role involves receiving, stocking, tagging, and pulling orders, plus operating a yard truck, cranes, and forklifts to load and unload trailers.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong math and measuring skills, and the ability to read drawings and understand English instructions. Heavy equipment experience is preferred; safety is paramount.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Basic arithmetic to calculate and convert decimals and fractions.
• Ability to comprehend oral and written communication.
• Basic reading and writing comprehension in English to read instructions and policies.
• Proficient measuring skills and ability to read measuring tapes, micrometers and calipers.
• Industrial warehouse experience preferred.
• Overhead Crane/forklift experience required.
• Detail oriented with ability to inspect material for quality.
• Experience with heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives, places/returns items into stock inventory locations.
• Tags materials for proper identification.
• Pulls and assembles customer orders in order of delivery.
• Operates yard truck for loading/unloading trailers.
• Operates cranes to load/unload trailers.
• Operates forklift (5k or 10k) to load/unload trailers.
• Restocks material and ensures proper loading.
• Completes production and quality paperwork and data collection.
