Overview

We are seeking a Material Handler Lead to join our shipping and warehouse manufacturing team. This role involves tasks related to the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. You will support the department supervisor and team with system and order troubleshooting at our Norcross warehouse. If you meet the qualifications, we encourage you to apply today!

Responsibilities

The Material Handler Lead assists the Supervisor in departmental training (Learner Tracks, OJT's, training reports, etc.) and ensures compliance with guidelines within the Immucor Quality Manual, cGMP, GDP, FDA, ISO, Housekeeping, and Departmental policies.

• Follow all departmental procedures diligently.
• Verify and process deliveries through data entry in accordance with cGMP and departmental protocols.
• Handle, store, rotate, and deliver raw materials, components, and finished goods following FIFO, cGMP, and departmental procedures.
• Operate and maintain departmental equipment, ensuring inspections are performed as required.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Participate actively in training new employees.
• Perform warehouse tasks such as storing, rotating supplies, restacking pallets, and organizing storage areas.
• Conduct cycle counts and year-end inventory of supplies, raw materials, and finished goods.
• Manage daily mail duties across the Immucor campus.
• Pull, scan, and pack orders according to FIFO, cGMP, and departmental procedures.
• Report unsafe equipment or working conditions.
• Discard expired products as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with the manager and supervisor on on-the-job training modules (OJT's).
• Ensure employee training records are current, monitored, and tracked.
• Assist in SOP development and revisions.

Qualifications

Flexibility to work irregular hours as needed to meet production standards is required. Additional qualifications include:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with PC, keyboarding, email, and internet.
• Ability to work irregular hours as necessary.
• Team-oriented with cooperative interaction skills.
• Ability to use hands frequently for order picking and stocking.
• Ability to handle heavy weights, e.g., boxes up to 70 pounds and serum carts weighing approximately 800 pounds.
• Good vision for forklift operation and product placement.
