Join to apply for the Material Handler Lead - T&T role at Werfen North America.

We are seeking a Material Handler Lead to join our shipping/warehouse manufacturing team at our Norcross facility. The role involves tasks related to shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. You will support the department supervisor and team with system and order troubleshooting. If you meet the qualifications, we encourage you to apply today.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Supervisor with departmental training, including Learner Tracks, OJT's, and training reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all guidelines in the Immucor Quality Manual, cGMP, GDP, FDA, ISO, and departmental procedures.
  • Verify and process deliveries, handle raw materials, components, and finished goods following FIFO and cGMP standards.
  • Operate and maintain department equipment, perform inspections, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Participate in training new employees and assist with SOP development and revisions.
  • Perform warehouse tasks such as storing, rotating supplies, restacking pallets, and organizing storage areas.
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories as required.
  • Handle daily mail duties across the campus.
  • Pull, scan, and pack orders according to departmental procedures.
  • Report unsafe equipment or conditions and discard expired products as directed.
  • Support the department manager and supervisor with training and record-keeping.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency with PC, keyboarding, email, and internet.
  • Ability to work irregular hours as needed.
  • Team-oriented with cooperative communication skills.
  • Physical ability to handle products weighing up to 70 pounds, including maneuvering serum carts weighing approximately 800 pounds.
  • Good visual and depth perception skills for forklift operation and warehouse tasks.
