Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Lead to guide daily activities, assign tasks and maintain efficient operations in a large, non-climate controlled warehouse.

You will supervise team members, ensure quality standards, and coordinate loading, labeling, and packing of goods while maintaining safe practices in varying temperatures.

Qualifications

  • Must read, comprehend and complete basic documents and checklists.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and assign daily tasks to warehouse team members.
  • Ensure quality standards are followed and productivity targets are met.
  • Organize loading/unloading and movement of goods within the warehouse.
  • Prepare and label items and ensure proper packing and shipping readiness.
  • Assist in receiving cargo and placing orders on pallets or shelves.

Hourly Pay: $22.53 - $ 27.00

YOUR ROLE

Are you known for your leadership skills and passionate about warehouse logistics and organization? Do you enjoy working in a clean and efficient warehouse environment? If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to lead team members to execute essential manual duties and contribute to delivering results in a safe and efficient warehouse operation.Responsible for leading team members in area in daily activities, communicating issues with supervisor, assigning tasks to team members and maintaining seamless operations in the warehouse. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
  • Serve as the lead to distribute work assignments and daily activities to team members.
  • Follow and ensure quality standards are adhered to.
  • Post the performance numbers for area.
  • Organize loading and unloading of products.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Ensure the proper labelling, tagging and packing of goods and materials in assigned area.
  • Assist in receiving cargo by removing from truck by hand or using manual equipment such as hand truck or pallet jack or similar manual hand tools.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or move orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Open bales, crates and other containers.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
  • Comply with legal procedures for handling and receiving goods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Abilityto climb ladders.
  • Must have good or corrected vision.
  • Ability to add andsubtract.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities.
  • Consistently at work and on time.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED; One year experience in a warehouse or distribution environment; One to two years industry related experience preferred.
  • Credentials: May require forklift certification.
  • Skills: Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds; Abilityto climb ladders; Good or corrected vision; Ability to add andsubtract.
  • Characteristics: Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds; Ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents; Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • This position is based in a warehouse environment that isnot climate controlled.
  • Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures depending on seasonal weather conditions.
  • The role requires the ability to work safely and effectively in hot and cold environments while performing essential job duties.
