Job Purpose:

Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; perform duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving activities. Ensure that Material Handlers operate forklifts and walkies safely at all times, following all safety policies and procedures. This position reports to the shift supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Properly receive, unload, move, and tag incoming parts and equipment.
  • Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).

Knowledge of QMS (Quality Management Systems) and Lean Warehousing.

Responsibilities include operating material handling equipment using RF scanners, pulling and staging parts for production, completing requisitions for shortages, packaging inventory for shipment, complying with safety policies, verifying order accuracy, and efficiently picking customer orders to minimize costs and ensure safety. Other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Basic understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and lead.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and cover other shifts.
  • Experience operating sit-down forklifts and walkies.
  • Experience building pallets, breaking down stock, and cross docking freight.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
