Job summary

ARCOSA is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to manage cycle counts, control inventory, and oversee material flow in a heavy manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include shipping/receiving documentation, visual quality checks, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace.

Experience with forklifts and basic reading of blueprints is preferred. Candidate should have at least 2 years in inventory control, proficiency with MRP systems, Excel, Word, and email, and the ability to work

Job description

• Inventory control, Cycle counting and overall material management.
• All shipping and receiving duties, including documentation, bills of landing, etc.
• Perform visual quality checks
• Operate and monitor equipment such as forklifts, powered hand tools, and overhead cranes.
• Perform general manual labor tasks including lifting, pulling, carrying, sweeping, cleaning, and moving materials.
• Keep management and supervisors aware of product shortages to maintain accurate information
• Organize inventory within the warehouse by properly boxing and storing goods in their designated location
• Ability to lift < 50 pounds
• Maintain safe and clean work environment
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing
• Experience using a forklift isrequired
• Verify all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the invoice to order and ensuring all goods are in acceptable condition
• Verifying quantities of all incoming and outgoing packages and pieces.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas including outside material storage areas/yards, and production floors.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and safety committees/initiatives.
• Train, guide, and assist co-workers as needed.
• Manage physical and cycle inventory counts, track supplies and submit requests when needed.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, production manuals, and work instructions.
• Follow all company principles, safety rules, and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with inventory MRP systems, Excel, Word, Email required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a heavy manufacturing or industrial warehouse environment.
• Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other mobile/heavy equipment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read or learn to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and verify dimensional requirements.
• 2 years’ Inventory control and cycle counting experience required.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) required for material calculations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong dependability and attendance.
