Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking a Material Handler Lead to ensure the efficient flow of materials in the facility and to lead a small team. You will coordinate stockroom activities, issue materials to manufacturing as needed, and drive process improvements with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of related experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, forklift/pallet jack experience, and proficiency with MRP systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4–6 years of related experience in material handling.
• Forklift and pallet jack operating experience.
• Ability to document procedures and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish and document material handling procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Coordinate material movement within the stockroom and issue materials to manufacturing as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform regular audits and reporting.
• Provide guidance and oversight to material handlers to achieve departmental goals.
• Determine methods and procedures for new assignments while adhering to established guidelines.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely; may drive company truck.
• Utilize inventory databases and perform receiving and stockroom transactions accurately.
• Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and commercial invoices, and maintain professional vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with company quality assurance standards and safety practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.

The Material Handler Lead ensures the efficient and safe flow of materials into, out of, and within the facility. This role oversees material handling processes, provides guidance to team members, and supports inventory accuracy through effective use of MRP systems and documentation. Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

• Strong judgment and initiative in managing material handling operations.
• Ability to lead and guide team members effectively to meet performance objectives.
• Proficiency in MRP systems (Visual preferred) and inventory management processes.
• Strong mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills for accurate documentation and reporting.
• Ability to collaborate with other departments to ensure timely material availability and operational success.

Education, Certifications, Requirements:

• High School Diploma/equivalent.
• Acceptable driver’s record for driving company vehicles (as required).
• 4 to 6 years of related experience in a variety of roles.
• Forklift and pallet jack operating experience.
