Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Material Handler Lead to ensure efficient, safe material flow and to guide a team in daily operations. Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of related experience in material handling roles.
  • APICS coursework or certification is a plus.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and document material handling procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Coordinate stockroom movement and issue materials to manufacturing as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform regular audits and reporting.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to material handlers to achieve departmental goals.
  • Determine methods and procedures for new assignments while adhering to established guidelines.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely; may drive company truck.
  • Utilize inventory databases and perform receiving and stockroom transactions accurately.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and commercial invoices, and maintain professional vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality assurance standards and safety practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.

UCT is looking for a talented Material Handler Lead to join us in Hillsboro, OR.

The Material Handler Lead ensures the efficient and safe flow of materials into, out of, and within the facility. This role oversees material handling processes, provides guidance to team members, and supports inventory accuracy through effective use of MRP systems and documentation. Responsibilities include coordinating stockroom activities, issuing materials to manufacturing, and driving process improvements while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills, Experience
  • Strong judgment and initiative in managing material handling operations.
  • Ability to lead and guide team members effectively to meet performance objectives.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems (Visual preferred) and inventory management processes.
  • Solid computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills for accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments to ensure timely material availability and operational success.
Education, Certifications, Requirements
  • High School Diploma/equivalent.
  • APICS coursework/certification a plus.
  • Acceptable driver’s record for driving company vehicles (as required).
  • Forklift certification (as required).
  • 4 to 6 years of related experience in a variety of roles.
  • Forklift and pallet jack operating experience.
