Western Pacific Building Materials is hiring a Material Handler for our Dallas area location. You will unload orders, stage material for pickups and deliveries, and help maintain inventory accuracy and warehouse safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years related experience.
• Basic math and organization skills.
• Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs. or more.
• Detail-oriented mindset.
• Strong data entry and computer skills.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) and experience with pallet jacks.
• Ability to work on feet for long hours.
• Team Player and willingness to help in other areas.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Understanding of safety protocols and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Unload product from delivery truck.
• May assist Receivers by receiving incoming building materials and placing them into inventory.
• Pulling ordered material from inventory and staging it for pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain all products in a high quality and marketable condition.
• Keep accurate inventory records.
• Operating a forklift safely and efficiently and being able to handle heavy and awkward loads.
• Estimating the weight of forklift loads so that delivery vehicles are properly loaded and not overweight.
• Physically sorting through various products to remove defective material.
• Responsibilities may include assisting with delivery of materials to customers or jobsites.
• Delivery functions including unloading and staging of product at jobsites as assigned.
• Organizing and maintaining the warehouse for efficient storage space usage and quick retrieval.
• Maintains a clean work area, free from debris on warehouse floor.
• Assists in other areas as needed.
