Responsibilities

  • Unload products from delivery trucks.
  • Receive and inventory incoming building materials.
  • Pull ordered material from inventory and stage for pickup or delivery.
  • Maintain warehouse inventory records accurately.
  • Operate forklift safely and handle heavy loads.
  • Estimate forklift loads to keep vehicles within weight limits.
  • Sort through products to remove defects and ensure quality.
  • Assist with deliveries to customers or jobsites as needed.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse space for efficient retrieval.
  • Keep work area clean and free of debris; adhere to safety rules.

We are now hiring a Material Handler for our Dallas location.

Requirements
The Opportunity

As a Material Handler, you will:

  • Unload product from delivery truck
  • May assist Receivers by receiving incoming building materials and placing them into inventory
  • Pulling ordered material from inventory and staging it for pickups and deliveries
  • Maintain all products in a high quality and marketable condition
  • Keep accurate inventory records
  • Operating a forklift safely and efficiently and being able to handle heavy and awkward loads
  • Estimating the weight of forklift loads so that the delivery vehicles are properly loaded and are not overweight
  • Physically sorting through various products in order to remove defective material
  • Responsibilities may include assisting with delivery of materials to customers or jobsites
  • Delivery functions including unloading and staging of product at jobsites as assigned
  • Organizing and maintaining the warehouse for effective and efficient utilization of available storage space while also ensuring that all products can be quickly retrieved for shipment
  • Maintains a clean work area, free from debris on warehouse floor
  • Assists in other areas as needed
