Job Description

The Wasserstrom Company, established in 1902 and headquartered in Columbus, OH, is the leading Food Service Distributor in the nation. We currently have a Material Handler IV Lead position available at our Jacksonville Distribution Center in Jacksonville, FL. Responsibilities include:

  • Directing and auditing work activities of LTL warehouse workers to ensure efficiency, safety, on-time delivery, and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee and support workflow management.
  • Use Warehouse Management System (WMS) to create and sort order batches, communicate issues, resolve batching problems, and organize workload.
  • Conduct quality and safety audits.
  • Train associates on procedures, practices, and equipment.
  • Operate equipment such as stock chasers, order pickers, forklifts, and turret trucks.
  • Mark and label containers and products.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
  • Apply common sense to follow instructions.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Prioritize tasks based on business needs.
  • Recognize product identifiers and communicate with management and coworkers.
  • Provide direction to warehouse associates.
Education & Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a distribution center.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
