Job summary

Apogee Enterprises, Inc. seeks a Material Handler for Tru Vue Inc. in Minnesota.

The role focuses on controlling material tracking, storage and issuance to production lines, with emphasis on safety and continuous improvement. You will also support other departments and contribute to cost reduction and yield improvements. The position requires forklift experience and familiarity with electronic inventory systems, plus lean manufacturing awareness.

Qualifications

• Obtains and maintains a Tru Vue Forklift Operation License in good standing.
• One year of forklift experience with a good driving record.
• Familiarity with electronic inventory management systems, including devices and processes.
• Computer data entry experience beneficial.
• Must be able to learn and perform electronic transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Quality systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Control the tracking, storage and issuance of materials to production lines and assist shipping/receiving areas.
• Proactively support lines with materials for all aspects of production and packaging.
• Ensure proper inventory of production materials and finished goods to support scheduled orders.
• Monitor receiving/shipping areas and stage outgoing product.
• Assist in shipments and receipts as needed and maintain FIFO.
• Move, store, and locate materials using electronic inventory systems.
