Tectum, a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries and one of eleven North American plants, is looking for reliable Material Handlers & Industrial Cleaning Technicians to join our 1st (7am-3pm) and 2nd (3pm-11pm) shift teams. Tectum has over 70 years of experience producing wall, roof, and ceiling tiles. We currently employ approximately 100 people involved in manufacturing and shipping our products.

Job Responsibilities include:

1. Working safely in a manufacturing environment and adhering to all safety standards.
2. Ensuring product quality and output standards are met and improved.
3. Participating in teamwork, achieving goals, and focusing on customer satisfaction.
4. Performing heavy-duty work such as removing and stacking finished boards, assembly, and packaging.

Qualifications:

• Industrial or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility for day shifts, overtime, and weekends.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Willingness to learn and be part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• HS diploma or GED.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a manufacturing setting with potential exposure to extreme temperatures, uneven surfaces, loud noises, and dusty conditions. Basic PPE such as safety glasses, earplugs, and steel-toe shoes are required. Specific PPE and training will be provided for specialized activities.

Physical Demands:

The role requires frequent talking, standing, walking, handling, reaching, and occasionally sitting, climbing, or stooping. Employees must be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
