Tectum, a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries and one of eleven North American plants, is looking for reliable Material Handlers & Industrial Cleaning Technicians to join our 1st (7am-3pm) and 2nd (3pm-11pm) shift teams. Tectum has over 70 years of experience producing wall, roof, and ceiling tiles. We currently employ approximately 100 people involved in manufacturing and shipping our products.
This position operates in a manufacturing setting with potential exposure to extreme temperatures, uneven surfaces, loud noises, and dusty conditions. Basic PPE such as safety glasses, earplugs, and steel-toe shoes are required. Specific PPE and training will be provided for specialized activities.
The role requires frequent talking, standing, walking, handling, reaching, and occasionally sitting, climbing, or stooping. Employees must be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
