Job summary

Schaeffler Transmission Systems, LLC in Wooster, OH is seeking a Material Handler III on the 1st shift to support plant logistics. You will load and unload materials, prepare deliveries for drivers, and move goods between locations within the plant while following safety rules.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to follow written and verbal English instructions, basic computer and MS Office skills, good visual acuity, and the ability to lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities

• Execute loading and unloading of goods and manage the respective documentation

• Prepare deliveries of products and tours for drivers

• Deliver raw materials and goods to designated location in the plants

• Deconsolidate, re-pack, store, retrieve and execute internal transports

• Pick, pack and label different goods e.g. raw material, components, semi-finished-products, finished products, trading goods etc.

• Track and overview products and transports in the IT system

• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Your Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English

• Basic computer knowledge and MS office skills

• Good visual acuity

• Ability to regularly lift heavy objects if required

• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Preferred:

• Multiple years of experience in logistics, preferably in a manufacturing environment

• Experience working with IT & SAP systems

• Ability to operate transportation machinery
