CMA CGM Group is seeking a Material Handler III / Operations Team Lead for the 3rd shift in Whitsett, NC. You will guide the team in daily tasks, ensure safe practices, manage loading/unloading, and maintain orderly warehouse operations.

Responsibilities include organizing workflows, coordinating with the supervisor, and ensuring accurate labeling, packing, and timely task completion. A strong warehousing background and forklift certification readiness are required.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required; typically 5+ years warehousing or logistics experience.
• Forklift certification typically required within 3–6 months of hire; valid driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and basic warehouse equipment; readiness to certify forklift if needed.

YOUR ROLE

Responsible for leading team members in area in daily activities, communicating issues with supervisor, assigning tasks to team members and maintaining seamless operations in the warehouse. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• Serve as the lead todistributework assignments and daily activities to team members.
• Promote safe work practices.
• Follow and ensure quality standards are adhered to.
• Post the performance numbers forarea.
• Organize loading and unloading of products.
• Move materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Ensure the properlabelling,taggingand packing of goods and materials inassignedarea.
• Assistin receiving cargo by removing from truck by hand or using manual equipment such as hand truck or pallet jack or similar manual hand tools.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or move orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Open bales,cratesand other containers.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predeterminedsequencesuch as size, type, style,coloror product code.
• Comply withlegal procedures for handling and receiving goods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GED;Typically,at leastfiveyears of warehousing or relatedlogisticsexperience.
• Credentials:Forklift Certification typicallyrequiredin most operations within 3 to 6 months of hire; Valid state issued driver’s license preferred.
• Skills:Ability tooperatehand and power tools, including hand truck, pallet jack, and related warehouse equipment;Basicproficiencyin Internet, web-based and job specific software applications;Ability to become forklift certified, when required.
• Characteristics:Ability to prioritize and assign work and provide training and guidance to staff; Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs; Ability to perform in a team environment.Ability to read,comprehendand complete basic checklists,formsor other related documents
