Dal-Tile is seeking an expert Material Handler to join our team! We need someone ready to operate equipment used in the distribution center such as the Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Sit-Down Forklift, and Electric Pallet Jack.

• 8:00AM-4:45PM

Pay Rate: $24.14

Primary Objective

Operate powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey them to the packing station or shipping area.

Major Functions and Scope

• Operate various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey them to packing or shipping areas.
• Use order picker equipment or stand-up forklift to assemble and palletize orders.
• Utilize warehouse systems such as WMS.
• Verify stock and audit orders for accuracy.
• Transport orders to packing or shipping areas.
• Monitor equipment and report issues.
• Follow safety procedures and keep the area organized.
• Perform related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

• High School diploma or equivalent; Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator.
• 3+ years distribution/warehouse experience.
• At least 6 months experience with stand-up forklift or order picker equipment.

Competencies

• Good communication, record-keeping, and listening skills.
• Accurate measurement skills.
• Basic English speaking ability.
• Ability to work safely and be Dal-Tile certified to operate industrial trucks.

Other Pertinent Information

• Stand, use hands, reach, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly.
• Lift/move up to 75 pounds.
• Typical picks are 25 per hour, weighing 40-70 lbs, with heavier picks constituting 65% of shift.
• Visual abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment.
• Exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, temperature variations, and loud noise is expected.
