What We Need

Mohawk is looking to add a Material Handler III to join our team. The Material Handler is responsible for safely, accurately, and efficiently handling various types of products for receiving, locating, or shipping. Products may include roll goods, packages, cartons, or palletized items. Verifies accuracy of products loaded on trucks for delivery to customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate a lift truck.
  • Verify products pulled against the Pull Sheet as a Checker.
  • Perform data entry into AS400 – order quantities, changes, palletizing, etc.
  • Oversee lower-level Material Handlers, checking their work, informing them of errors, damaged products, proper procedures, etc.
  • Interact with customers and handle customer pickup orders.
  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervisor.
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management.

What You Have

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Successful completion of all required on-the-job training.
  • Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Operate in a team-based environment.
  • Minor computer skills.
  • Ability to become certified on all types of lift equipment (fork, pole order picker).
  • Ability to operate on-board RF equipment and have a basic understanding of the AS-400 system.
  • Must be able to lift 50 - 80 lbs. numerous times throughout shift.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, bend, push, pull, and reach for long periods.
  • Willing and able to work any shift or hours deemed necessary by management.
