Job summary

Novonesis in New Berlin, WI is seeking a Material Handler III to support daily warehouse and production operations. You will safely move materials, prepare for production, and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards to keep lines running smoothly.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least 2 years of warehouse experience, with the ability to operate warehouse equipment and work in cold environments. This is a first-shift, onsite role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to operate or learn warehouse equipment.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and allergen control is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up pallets and prepare materials for production and shipment.
  • Replenish picked and empty trolleys between areas.
  • Wrap, band, icing pallets and store them properly.
  • Load and unload trucks, including WW and Maersk shipments.
  • Operate warehouse equipment like shrinkwrap machine and banders.
  • Follow procedures for damaged materials and allergen controls.
  • Assist in raw material inspections and quarantine nonconforming items.

The Role & Your Impact

In this role, you'll support daily warehouse and production operations by safely handling materials, moving product between areas, and ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards. Your work will help maintain continuous production and protect the integrity of our materials and finished goods.

You will make an impact by:

  • Setting up pallets and preparing materials for production and shipment.
  • Replenishing picked and empty trolleys between the freezer and pack line.
  • Completing pallets by wrapping, banding, icing, and placing them into proper pallet storage.
  • Loading and unloading trucks, including WW and Maersk shipments.
  • Operating warehouse equipment, including automatic shrinkwrap machine, electric bander and banding equipment, pallet walker, riding pallet walker, and platypus.
  • Following proper procedures for handling damaged materials.
  • Maintaining knowledge of allergen control practices within the warehouse.
  • Following warehouse cleaning practices, the master sanitation schedule, and overall property maintenance.
  • Participating in raw material inspections and supporting inspection processes.
  • Following quarantine procedures for nonconforming materials.
What You'll Need to Be Successful
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • At least 2 years of previous warehouse or production experience.
  • Ability to safely operate-or learn to operate-warehouse equipment.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and allergen control practices is a plus.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to lift, move, and stack pallets and materials.
  • Ability to work in cold environments, including freezers.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.
Ways of Working / Working Conditions
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 am-2:30 pm.
  • Onsite warehouse and production support environment.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Expected salary: $22/hour
  • Includes all benefits listed above
