Job summary

DeKalb Health in Verona, VA is seeking a full-time warehouse associate to load, unload, pick orders, replenish stock, and move materials within a busy facility.

You will operate forklifts, WAVs, and pallet jacks, perform pre-shift checks, and work to keep shipping areas organized and safe in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating order picker, reach truck, turret truck, or swing reach truck.
• General knowledge of warehouse procedures.
• Two (2) years of material handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, check and store merchandise or materials.
• Fill requisitions and orders.
• Pack, crate and ship products and materials to departments or assembly lines.
• Drive forklift, WAV or pallet jack to move bulk products to the proper destination point.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate powered industrial equipment.
• Manual lifting will be required as part of regular daily work.
• Keep all direct work areas clean and well organized. Practice 5S in the warehouse.
• Ensure all safety & regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.
• Other duties as assigned

The base hourly range for this role is $19.25 - $22.54. Final salary will be based on experience.

Purpose and Scope of Job:

• Primarily responsible for loading, unloading, order picking, stock replenishment, moving and stacking materials.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.


• Experience in operating at least one of the following: order picker, reach truck, turret truck, or swing reach truck


• General knowledge of warehouse procedures


• Two (2) years of material handling experience.
