Job summary

BFS is seeking a Material Handler to maintain the flow of materials on site and support our production processes. You will move, lift, and stack materials, operate forklifts and related equipment, and ensure accuracy in material records.

The role requires basic education and hands-on experience with materials handling, along with a commitment to safety and teamwork on a fast-paced construction materials yard.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and two years of materials handling experience.
• Knowledge of motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Safety procedures knowledge for handling materials in a work environment.

Responsibilities

• Physically handles materials to optimize movement and storage.
• Operates motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Records movement of incoming/outgoing materials and verifies accuracy.
• Responds to foreman training to improve processes.
• Trains new materials employees on handling techniques, machinery use, and safety guidelines.
• Adheres to safety procedures and participates in safety meetings.
