Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of materials handling experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Move materials to optimize flow; lift and carry items as needed.
• Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Record movement of incoming and outgoing materials and verify accuracy.
• Respond to foreman training to improve processes.
• Train new material handlers on handling techniques, machinery use, and safety.
• Observe safety procedures to prevent injuries; attend safety meetings.
• Other duties may be assigned.
