Job summary

Dal-Tile Distribution, Inc. seeks a Warehouse Associate to operate powered industrial trucks, pick orders, receive and put away stock, and ensure accurate packing and shipping. This role requires safety adherence and precise record-keeping in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include using WMS to input data, verifying stock, labeling, and moving product to designated locations, with shifts on 2nd shift, Monday–Friday. A high school diploma and forklift certification are required.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years distribution/warehouse experience.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of sit-down forklift experience.
• Reach truck and order picker/Cherry picker experience preferred.
• Good oral and written communication and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders from stock.
• Move product to packing/shipping areas and verify accuracy.
• Enter data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Receive, inspect, label, and put away stock.
• Ensure products are stored in correct warehouse locations.
• Convey picked orders to packing or shipping areas.

Job description

Primary Objective:

Operates various powered industrial trucks to transport product from receiving department to stock shelves.

Shift:

• 2nd: M-F, 2:30pm-11:00pm

Equipment Knowledge:

Sit-Down Forklift

Stand-Up/Reach Forklift

Order Picker/Cherry Picker Forklift

Responsibilities:

• Picking

Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.

Keys order into Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy

Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping areas

Receiving

Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking

Opens crates and inspects product

Applies labels to product according to establishing procedures

Verifies shading of product and places into accurate warehouse location

Putaway

Utilizespowered industrialequipment to move product into pre-designated areas within warehouse once received

Keys location of product into inventory control system and places product onto shelves

Ensures product is placed into accurate location

SPC Check/Pack Checking

Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping

Labels boxes with packing slip

Loads boxes into conveyor belt

Verifies orders for accuracy

General

Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor

Follows standard operating and safety procedures

Keeps area safe, clean, and organized

Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience. Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-downforklift. Reach truck, and OP experience.

Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak English.

Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.

Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
