Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida is seeking a Material Handler II for a full-time position based at Central Processing Port Charlotte #160, located in Fort Myers, Florida. The organization is committed to serving individuals with disabilities and disadvantages by providing opportunities for independence and community support through retail, donated goods, and mission services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to stores, administration, vendors, and donors.
  • Move RAW donated materials, salvage commodities, trash, equipment, fixtures, and other designated materials on/off trucks.
  • Sort materials properly within the plant following Kaizen system guidelines.
  • Assist in salvage sorting and cross-train for other roles within the plant.
  • Lead operational areas and assign tasks to Material Handler I's as needed.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years of warehouse experience, including loading containers and trucks.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Sufficient mobility to turn, lean, kneel, or bend.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work flexible hours.
