Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Material Handler II for packaging on the 3rd shift. You will move finished goods, label shipments with RF guns, and prepare cartons for Distribution Center transfer.

The role requires forklift experience preferred, strong computer skills, and ability to work in a team with other material handlers and production staff. Onsite work location and comprehensive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 5 years warehouse experience preferred, forklift exp preferred or a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical testing.
• Proficient with computers.
• Ability to work in a team with other material handlers and production operators.

Responsibilities

• Place finished product in cartons for shipment.
• Generate shipping labels using RF guns.
• Load pallets with finished cartons and apply labels.
• Operate manual pallet jacks and moving carts.
• Notify shipping/receiving of needed components.
• Coordinate with material planners on priority shipments.
• Work with leaders for daily instructions.

Job Description:

Job Overview

Implements procedures, tools, and techniques for moving materials throughout and from the manufacturing facilities.

Job Requirements

• Place Finished Product in cartons for shipment to the Distribution Center
• Generate Shipping Labels using RF Guns
• Load pallet with finished cartons, scan shipping labels to create and STO (Bill of Lading) Stretch Wrap carton and place on staged Trailer bound for Distribution Center
• Work with Material Planners on Priority Material to be shipped
• Communicate with Leaders for follow-up or specific instructions daily
• Unload pallet deliveries when asked
• Operate manual pallet jacks and moving carts constantly
• Receive reel request cards from Stamping, and Plating
• Assemble reels using an 8 head staple machine
• Move finished product to area that placed the order
• Notify Shipping/Receiving of any components needed

What your background should look like

• 3rd shift
• 5 years of experience in a warehouse with forklift exp preferred or high school diploma or GED
• Computer skills required
• Ability to pass all pre-employment physical testing
• Ability to work in a team environment with other material handlers on shift as well as assembly / production operators

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry a maximum weight of 30 lbs safely & dependably
• Frequently required to extend arms and hands between knees & shoulders; frequent holding and grasping with hands.
• Frequent standing and walking is required in this job.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $$37,100 – $55,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
