Job description

Dal-Tile is currently seeking an intermediate level Material Handler to join our TEAM!
As a material handler, we need someone experienced in stocking, checking, wrapping, and loading and unloading materials. This position is on night shift from 2:30pm-11:00pm (subject to overtime)
Primary Objective:
Operate various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey orders to packing stations or shipping areas. MUST HAVE REACH TRUCK EXPERIENCE.
Major Function and Scope:
  • Perform warehouse duties such as pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy, conducting inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor products, maintaining displays, moving, storing, and replenishing materials, and conducting daily cycle counts.
  • Handle receiving duties including unloading inbound materials, processing shipments, stocking materials, processing customer returns, and reporting damaged shipments for freight claims.
  • Operate forklift equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized facility.
  • Follow all safety rules and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator, and 1+ years of warehouse experience. Minimum 6 months of stand-up forklift or order picker experience required; no experience needed for pallet jack.

  • Good communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Good listening skills and accurate measurement capabilities.
  • Basic English speaking and understanding skills.
  • Ability to work safely and conscientiously.
  • Dal-Tile certification to operate powered industrial trucks required.
Other Pertinent Job Information:

While performing duties, associates must stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, climb, or balance. May lift/move up to 75 lbs. The work involves handling items weighing between 20-70 lbs, with heavier items constituting 65% of the shift. Visual abilities required include close, peripheral, and focus adjustment. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, temperature variations, and loud noise levels is possible. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
