Job summary

RRD Company in Smyrna, TN is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to lay up, feed and move materials for bindery and mailing operations. You will prepare bundles, apply labels, and ensure accurate packaging and tracking throughout the process.

The role requires experience with banding machines, shrink-wrap, pallets, hand tools, and basic forklift use. Training is provided, and the position operates on the 2nd shift with hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions
• Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and labeling requirements for incoming/outgoing materials
• Good skill in shrink-wrap and strapping equipment, powered lift equipment, pallet jacks, manual dollies, carts or hand trucks and related tools
• Knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification codes, and standard procedures
• May require experience operating/using forklift truck

Responsibilities

• Lay up, feed or pile down materials at equipment
• Jog product off counter stacker and stack neatly on skid for smooth bindery/mailing operation
• Complete skid flags and packaging slips to ensure accurate tracking
• Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
• Attach tags or labels to materials and record information on containers
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles
• May operate forklift or industrial truck to load/move materials
• Train and mentor new/existing employees on policies and best practices
