Job summary

Lochinvar, a business unit of A.O. Smith Corporation, in Lebanon, Tennessee, is seeking an assembly/inspector professional to support materials handling and quality inspections on the production floor.

The role focuses on reading work orders, coordinating material movement, and maintaining accurate inventory records in a climate-controlled plant environment. The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, basic computer skills, and a willingness to obtain forklift and related certifications.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience is required.
• Basic computer knowledge and navigation is required.
• Must be able to acquire Forklift and other PIV certifications once hired.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders, production schedules, parts pull sheets, or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Inventory materials (including cycle counting, inventory control functions, where appropriate) on work floor.
• Pull parts, or completed units, from storage or work areas to designated locations for production personnel and/or manufacturing needs.
• Inspect incoming product for quality (e.g., product damage, ASME code requirements), verifies identification numbers and/or material grades and quantities.
