Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Virginia is seeking a Material Handler II to support the Frames Department by loading, unloading, and moving materials safely and accurately, ensuring flow and timely distribution of components. Qualifications

  • Ability to operate all forms of forklifts
  • Demonstrated strong and effective communication skills
  • 2+ years’ experience pulling orders (preferred)

  • Maintains warehouse documentation and other related records.
  • Participates in the continuous improvement of the distribution department.
  • Communication of job status between shifts and continuation of work in progress.
  • Quickly and effectively shifts gears to meet changing business requirements.
  • Helps establish continuous improvement processes that result in the most effective use of all resources, reducing costs, and improving quality.

What we are looking for

The Material Handler will be responsible for accurately and safely loading and unloading of materials while maintaining the flow of materials to the organizations to ensure that all aspects of the company needs are being met for our Frames Department.

Basic qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have a minimum of 12 months warehouse experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Ability to operate all forms of forklifts
  • Demonstrated strong and effective communication skills
Preferred qualifications
  • 2+ years’ experience pulling orders in a warehouse environment.

  • Must be able to work with machine operators, mechanics, contractors, drivers and/or vendors.
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms
  • Must be able to sit, stoop, and/or kneel
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional extended hours are required.
  • Must have a positive attitude.

Pay Range

USD 18.00 - 19.00 Hourly
