Dal-Tile is currently seeking an intermediate level Material Handler to join our team! As a material handler, we need someone experienced in stocking, checking, wrapping, and loading and unloading materials.

The hours of this position are Monday through Friday, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm.

Starting pay is $22.09. After 90 days, pay increases to $23.33.

Primary Objective

Operate various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey orders to packing stations or shipping areas.

Major Functions and Scope

Perform warehouse duties such as pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy, inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor products, maintaining displays (tools, caulk, etc.), moving, storing, and replenishing materials, and conducting daily cycle counts.

Receive inbound materials, process shipments, stock materials, handle customer returns, and report damaged shipments for freight claims.

Maintain a clean and organized facility through sweeping, trash removal, restroom and office maintenance, etc.

Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety rules outlined in the Safety Program and reporting accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to management.

Perform other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

High school diploma or equivalent; Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator

At least 1 year of distribution/warehouse experience, with a minimum of 6 months experience operating stand-up forklifts or order pickers. No experience needed for pallet jacks.

Good communication skills, record-keeping, listening skills, measurement capabilities, and basic English proficiency are required. Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.

Other Pertinent Job Information

Regularly required to stand, use hands, reach, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May need to sit, climb, or balance. Able to lift/move up to 75 pounds. The typical work involves 25 picks per hour, weighing between 40-70 lbs, with 65% heavier picks (50-70 lbs) and 35% lighter items (20-40 lbs). Vision abilities include close, peripheral, and focus adjustment. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, temperature variations, and loud noise is common.
