Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Material Handler II (1st Shift) on-site at Hodges, SC. Core hours are 7:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The role involves safe forklift operation, routine inspections, material transport, and accurate inventory using the MRP system.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months in manufacturing and forklift operation. Relocation is not offered; candidates within 50 miles of Hodges, SC will be considered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of industrial experience preferred.
• Experience operating a Powered Industrial Truck (forklift).
• No immigration sponsorship. Relocation not offered; within 50-mile radius of Hodges, SC.
• Active military service members exempt from geographic area limitation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, load, unload, and retrieve materials.
• Perform routine forklift inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Transit materials throughout the facility to trucks, pallets, and storage locations.
• Verify delivery accuracy and inspect materials for damage.
• Complete inventory transactions using the MRP system and perform cycle counts.
• Follow SOPs, safety policies, and WSRA requirements.
• Coordinate with team using radios and other tools.
• Dispose of scrap materials according to procedures.
• Flex into other warehouse or logistics areas as needed to support operations.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Material Handler II (1st Shift).

The core hours are 7:30 am - 3:30 pm, M-F.

The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.

This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do

• Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, load, unload, and retrieve materials in accordance with company safety policies and regulations.
• Perform routine forklift inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure equipment remains in proper working condition.
• Safely transport materials throughout the facility, including to and from trucks, pallets, and storage locations.
• Verify delivery accuracy and inspect materials for damage.
• Complete inventory transactions accurately and timely using the MRP system, including required cycle counts.
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), method sheets, safety policies, and WSRA requirements.
• Use radios or other communication tools to coordinate with team members and prioritize daily tasks.
• Dispose of scrap materials (excluding metals) according to established procedures.
• Flex into other warehouse or logistics areas and perform additional duties as needed to support operations.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 6 months of industrial manufacturing experience
• Minimum of 6 months of experience operating a PIT (Powered Industrial Truck, i.e. forklift)
