Position Description

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be able to work any shift. Weekend work and/or overtime may be required. Prompt work ethic and above-average attendance are required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Opens/Closes crates or containers containing coils or other customer products.
  2. Inspects coils for any signs of damage or conditions related to quality assurance/quality control.
  3. Secures or removes lifting attachments.
  4. Climbs ladders.
  5. Lifts coils, by hand, as necessary to load/unload load bars or crates.
  6. Reads work orders or follows oral instructions of lead person to ascertain coils or containers to be moved, hung, or crated in the work area.
  7. Follows published work instructions, quality procedures, and safety protocols.
  8. Cleans work area and equipment as instructed.
  9. Substitutes for material handlers in other work areas as needed.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or entry-level, with three to nine months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
