What You'll Do As a Material Handler I

1. Transfer product from unprocessed storage area to processing area, load, and unload processed product, conduct pre-shipping preparation, and stage product in processed area. Review product/process documents and customer instructions to ensure accurate processing.
2. Monitor equipment used for product movement; perform minor repairs; maintain a clean work area; perform Material Handling and production functions as needed; process product according to specifications if trained and certified.
3. Assist in maintaining product inventory by receiving, labeling, and storing product per procedures and customer instructions.
4. Maintain product documentation for accuracy; implement corrective actions; analyze product monitoring devices as per processing specifications.
5. Respond to alarm conditions appropriately; report abnormal events; support issue resolution within safety guidelines; conduct daily area housekeeping.
6. Participate in operator training to develop skills.
7. Support team efforts by adhering to policies, GMP, Lean principles, and directives; perform other duties as assigned.
8. Ensure safe movement of Customer product within the facility.
9. Review documents, perform duties of Material Handler I, Warehouse Material Handler, Warehouse Assistant, or Operator as needed, and train others if applicable.
10. This role is highly physical, requiring strength and endurance, especially in modalities like Gamma.

Required

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work while seated or standing, using hands
• One year warehousing experience in an FDA, ISO, GMP environment
• Effective communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking)

Preferred

• Basic computer and math skills
• Forklift experience
• Experience with shift work and hours
