Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Marrero, LA is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to grow within a safety-focused team.

Work with stand-up/sit-down forklifts, process orders in a WMS, and help maintain a clean, organized facility while supporting distribution across the US.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a clean driving record and travel within the area 25–50% of the day.
• Strong technical aptitude including Outlook, Word, Excel, scanners, and WMS data entry.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions.
• Identify and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer.
• Recognize damaged product and take appropriate action when discovered.
• Pull orders accurately as assigned.
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify pallet counts.
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation.
• Follow safety policies and procedures; adhere to location/work center rules.
• Operate forklift equipment and other warehouse machinery.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $18.43 per hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a clean driving record and a personal vehicle and travel within the area approximately 25 - 50 % of the day
• Strong technical aptitude which includes using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, scanners and enter orders into a WMS System
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Must be able to work both indoors and outside
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required
• Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to input data into computer system
• Work overtime as assigned
• Must have a valid Driver's License and the ability to meet Ryder's driving qualifications

• Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer
• Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered.
• Pull orders accurately as assigned
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify: number of pallets picked as well as stage location
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process
• Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures
• May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of various powered industrial lift equipmen, perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned
• Operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery
