ABOUT THE ROLE

Trojan Battery is looking for a Material Handler II (2nd Shift) to join our company. In this position you will locate material on shelves, pull items from trucks, and place them in their correct storage areas. You will wrap products and prepare them for shipment, ensuring safe handling and compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

THE DAY-TO-DAY
  • Timely and efficient movement of materials to and from the production line to support a smooth manufacturing process.
  • Track and record material movement accurately, including stock changes and inventory adjustments.
  • Operate machinery and perform minor adjustments or setups as needed.
  • Use an RF scanner to maintain accurate inventory transfers from/to warehouse and/or manufacturing plant.
  • Complete reports or inspection sheets as instructed.
  • Stock, move, arrange, and rotate items according to operating instructions (e.g., FIFO policies).
  • Fill out forms related to stock description, quantity, unit of measure, and labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Use hand and/or power tools (such as hammers, cutting saws, nail guns, etc.) safely and effectively.
  • Identify products and apply the correct identifying tags or labels to materials or pallets.
  • Successfully complete power equipment certification and follow 5S, Lead activities, and safety protocols.
  • Stage multiple orders for shipment, determining appropriate loading patterns, weight distribution, and shipment methods.
  • Coordinate, process, and ship hazardous waste, scrap, and other materials in accordance with regulatory requirements.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma, GED, or higher.
  • Basic English proficiency to interpret work and safety instructions.
  • Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
