Job summary

Bruker is seeking a Material Handler in Goleta, CA to ensure inbound freight meets quality standards and supports production schedules for top-tier analytical instruments.

You will review and pack shipments, operate packing and material-handling equipment, and manage order processing in standard courier systems while maintaining inventory accuracy and participating in audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year related Warehouse experience.
• Experience in fast pace technical manufacturing environment.
• Experience in SAP Material Movement module is preferred.
• Ability to follow daily standard work instructions with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to stand, sit and walk for the majority of a scheduled shift.
• Must be able to push cart holding up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Review and pack orders for shipment, including boxes, pallets and crates.
• Operate packing equipment (Mini Pak'r, Sealed Air Molding Wheel, banding equipment).
• Operate dolly/pallet jack to load/unload material.
• Use Windows and MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Process orders for shipment in standard courier systems (FedEx, UPS).
• Monitor and order shipping supplies; store sub-assemblies and raw materials.
• Pick orders for other departments according to pick list and material requisitions.
• Assist with daily cycle counting and inventory accuracy objectives.
• Maintain inventory integrity in database and records; participate in audits.
• Participate in internal and external audits as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Ability to review, and pack orders for shipment, including boxes, pallets and crates
• Able to operate packing equipment - Mini Pak'r, Sealed Air Molding Wheel, banding equipment
• Ability to operate dolly/pallet jack to load and unload material
• Working Knowledge and ability to use Windows operating system and Microsoft based programs, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook
• Ability to process orders for shipment in standard courier system software e. Fedex, UPS
• Ability to monitor, and order shipping supplies
• Able to store sub-assemblies and raw materials in warehouse
• Able to pick orders and material for other departments according to pick list and material requisitions
• Ability to assist with daily cycle counting and inventory accuracy objectives
• Excellent clerical, data entry skills to maintain integrity of inventory accuracy in database, file records and perform routine audits
• Ability to participate in internal and external audits as necessary
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental standards
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
• May be asked to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Job requires frequent bending, stooping and kneeling

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Material Movement module is preferred
• Knowledge of export compliance regulations preferred
• Experience and understanding of warehouse operations, and is capable of applying knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks
• Ability to follow daily standard work instructions, with minimal supervision, and general instructions on newly introduced assignments
• Minimum of 1-year related Warehouse experience required.
• Experience in fast pace technical manufacturing environment required

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $18.00 per hr and $28.00 per hr provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
