Job summary

GEA Group is seeking a forklift driver to move materials between storage areas and production floors. You will read instructions, load and unload items, and ensure accurate counts and labeling on daily sheets. This role emphasizes safety and precise handling in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3 months to 1 year of experience in material handling, and a forklift license. It is an on-site role in Wisconsin, with standard full-time hours.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders or follows instructions to determine materials to move.
• Loads/unloads materials from pallets or shelves by hand.
• Moves materials to designated areas from storage or work sites.
• Counts, weighs, and records units moved on daily production sheets.
• Attaches labels to materials or marks information on containers.
• Assembles materials into bundles and bands them.

Responsibilities / Tasks

• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on a daily production sheet.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, boxes, or other containers.
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist for delivery to shop floor.
• Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
