Job summary

PCB Piezotronics, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler II to support manufacturing by receiving, processing, and inventorying incoming materials.

You will input receipts into the ERP system, prepare materials for storage, and stock items in designated locations, while maintaining accuracy and adherence to ISO 9001 procedures. You will also issue materials to production, assist with returns, and participate in process improvements to enhance stock accuracy and efficiency on the receiving dock and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years in manufacturing or warehouse operations, or 1 year as material handler at Temposonics.
• Ability to learn multiple computer programs (Word/Excel/Outlook/Zoom).
• Ability to read packaging instructions and customer requirements.
• Ability to prepare export paperwork and train others.
• Must understand ERP/WMS/MRP systems and bar-coding applications.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials from suppliers and process receipts in ERP/bar-coding systems.
• Enter receipt information accurately and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Prepare materials for storage (weighing, labeling, bagging) and stock in designated locations.
• Issue materials to the manufacturing floor and assist in returns processing.
• Maintain 5S standards and safe work practices on receiving dock and warehouse.

Job description

As a Material Handler II, you will support manufacturing operations by receiving, processing, and inventorying incoming materials. Responsibilities include physically receiving materials, accurately entering receipt information into the ERP system, preparing materials for storage (including weighing, bagging, labeling, and related tasks), and stocking items in designated inventory locations. This role also supports production by issuing materials to the manufacturing floor and processing returned materials as needed, while maintaining inventory accuracy and adherence to company procedures.

Major Areas Of Accountability

• Perform material receipts from external suppliers to include receiving material using ERP and bar‑coding systems
• Identify and correct for purchase order‑to‑received quantity discrepancies
• Repackaging of incoming material for inventory and use‑readiness
• Moving material into inventory or work cell delivery and using ERP
• Interactively communicate material delivery issues with purchasing, supervisors and assemblers
• Maintain good 5S and housekeeping practices to facilitate orderly, safe, and efficient operations on the receiving dock, area workstations and all warehouse locations. Work in a safe manner, including wearing required PPE
• Perform material cycle counts, as designated for both warehouse and floor stocking locations
• Participate in team process improvement activities and efforts to improve process flow, communication, stock accuracy, efficiency and internal customer responsiveness
• Support production by being aware of material shortages, promptly receiving expedited deliveries and supporting incoming inspection to ensure quality materials are delivered to production as quickly as possible
• Know and apply the division’s quality policy and procedures of ISO 9001 as it relates to area of responsibility and the organization. Follow all standard operating procedures as prescribed and notify appropriate personnel of any non‑conformance
• Perform miscellaneous duties and special assignments when required to support team when workload balance shifts
• Assist in training new employees on the receiving and stocking system methods as well as software systems (ERP and bar‑coding applications)
• Assist in the receiving and inventory procedures creation, updates, and requests using ISO and quality policy guidelines

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Required

• Two to three years relevant experience in a similar manufacturing or warehouse process, or one‑year experience as a material handler within Temposonics
• Ability to learn and utilize multiple computer programs (examples include: Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook and Zoom)
• Ability to read and understand packaging instructions, notes and customer requirements
• Ability to create all required domestic and international export paperwork
• Ability to train others in a similar role
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to provide effective team‑oriented support and ability to interact well between groups and individuals
• Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions
• Demonstrated ability to perform job tasks with minimal supervision
• Ability to use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP, Infor LN), Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system. Ability to find information on Temposonics networks and computer
• Ability to partner with team members and leadership on special projects as necessary
• Above average math skills with high attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Forklift certified preferred with pallet moving equipment experience
